Why do you love this rule? Does it change the fundamentals of the basketball game?

The reason we enforce it is because we are told to by assignors. I like doing post season games, so I do what I am told.

That's fine, but the same officials enforcing it on the womens side work for the same commish as the mens officials not enforcing this rule. Is this only an NCAA-W rule? I didn't' think it was, but if so, it's even more ridiculous.

NCAA 3-8-4 is a "Women only" rule, but that refers to memorial or commemorative patches. 3-8-1 says that one logo can be on every item of apparel except the undershirt. To me, that means one logo per sock, not per leg. And there's nothing in the casebook under Rule 3 that I can see.

You're right, only one logo per sock is allowed and if you only have one pair of socks on, it's one logo per leg.

I also do what I'm told to do. I might not like it, but I do it.

My Catholic middle school assigner tells us that if we are ever "caught" not enforcing "Fashion Police" rules, then he is not paying us for that game. Does he mean it? I don't know, but I don't want to end up being a "test case".

Exactly. If we all enforced only the rules we liked, that would be a mighty mess.

If I'm working a travel or wreck league game, a player could wear #88 with an untucked jersey and a paisley undershirt for all I care. However, if my board assigns me to the game, I enforce what I'm told to enforce (the NFHS rules). It has caused some strife with some middle school players and coaches, but it would help if everyone did their jobs.
