I have noticed this as well this year, both in person and on TV. It seems like D1 head coaches can get away with pretty much anything they want short of physical contact.

It's kind of like watching a college football game.

The officials who got picked for these early season TV games are some of the bigger of the big dogs. What message does it send when they allow the abuse?

1) You have to allow the abuse to get to their level.

2) If the big dogs put up with it, then the little dogs should too.

Pathetic. It appears as if the coaches and refs in the Maui tournament are not only sharing a room, but also a bed.

It appeared Tim Higgins was looking for an oxygen mask on every whistle, so I'll cut him some slack there.

Some of these old, old dogs can't even come close to keeping up and yet they're back season after season.

As I recall, the gorgon would like to have had stones, but didn't.

Even more accurate to say that the gorgon thought it did have stones...

Anywho...it just seems to me that it is doing a huge disservice to the game of basketball. I don't believe any NBA ref would have put up with either of these tirades. So the only level allowing this crap is Men's D-1.
