Intentional and One
Saw this happen last night in a girls regional semi-final and thought I would pass it on for informational purposes.
With less than two minutes left in the game, A1 goes to the basket on a break-away lay-up and is pushed from behind by B1. The ball goes thru the basket. The official scores the basket and indicates an intentional foul. The players all line up for free throws and the calling official reminds his partners that the foul was intentional. They then clear the lane and proceed after a little discussion, to give the shooter three shots. O.K. students of the rules - What should have happened here?
