To Sub or Not to Sub, That is the Question

Need to check the wise on this forum.
Situation:
Subs have reported to table and are ready to enter.
We have intentional foul on B1 during missed shot by A1.
When do you guys bring in the subs?
After first throw, before the second?
After the second throw, before the throw-in at the POI?
Just curious here.

After first throw, before the second ...

3-3-C: During multiple free throws resulting from personal fouls, substitutions may be made only before the final attempt in the sequence and after the final attempt has been converted. EXCEPTION: When a player is required by rule to be replaced prior to administering the free throw(s), then all other substitutes who have legally reported may also enter the game.

What some may find confusing about this situation is that an intentional foul is a personal foul, but not a common foul. In the case of a technical foul, which is neither a personal foul, nor a common foul, the substitution can be made at any time.

Agreed, but if the coach is wanting to get the offending knucklehead out of the game; let him.
