Technical Foul at end of 1st Half

I think we handled this right...

After horn sounds and partner blows whistle to end the first half, teams are headed to locker rooms when assistant coach from team A decides to give my partner an earful. (The same assistant was getting a little "chatty" earlier in the half and I warned the head coach to control his bench personnel). Partner gives him a T.

Since team B has already left the area (and I don't think it would have mattered if they had still been by the bench), we will start the second half with team B shooting the two shots and getting the ball at the division line opposite the table. Team A will start with one team foul in the second half and an indirect to the head coach who now lost his right to the coaching box. The AP stays where it was prior to the T.

Did we get it right?

Thanks. I saw the case, but it dosen't address what half the team foul is added to, or what happens with the AP arrow.

You need to read it again, Stosh.

The RULING states verbatim-"The third quarter will begin with two Team B free throws and the ball is awarded at half court. The alternating-possession arrow is unaffected. Team A will also have one foul towards the team foul count."

I need to get the 2009/10 version. The 2007/08 version I was looking at only said:

The technical foul is charged to the team member and indirectly to the head coach.

That case play was new last year iirc, stosh...2008-09.
