pass into hoop question, buzzer

I was looking through some threads on this and got a few questions.

If a pass beyond the three goes into the basket that is worth three points correct? If it hits off either the defense or offense player's head who is inside the arc it counts as two?

3. Pass off someone head or shoulder and clearly not a try and buzzer goes off while ball in the air and then basket made would you count the basket? I thought it was no on this.
4. If a pass goes into the hoop but the buzzer goes off while it is in the air would it still count?

1. Any thrown ball from behind the 3-pt arc counts as three points if it enters the basket. This rule was changed so that an official didn't have to make a determination between a pass and a try from outside the arc. If it could be either, then it is worth three points.

2. If it falls well below the level of the ring and strikes another player or the floor, then it would only be worth two.

3. Only a try counts if it enters the basket following the expiration of time, so any action with is not a try, such as a pass or a crazy loose ball situation, would not count unless it passes through the goal before time is up.

4. Same as #3.

If the pass beyond the three-point arc hits the defense inside the arc - score three points. If it hits the offense - score two points.

What does the level of the ring have to do with anything? Depends on who touches it and where their position on the floor when touched.

If it is touched by a defensive player, it still counts as 3 (much like a block by a defender who is inside the arc on a 3 pt try). If the pass bounces off an offensive player inside the 3 pt line, it counts as 2.

The level of the ring has to do with the official being able to call the play correctly.

Read case book play 4.41.4SitB. After doing so, you might not be so confused.

By rule, a 3-point try ends when that try is obviously short and below the ring.

Here is the Case Book play noted by JR. (Glad to see him back BTW )

4.41.4 SITUATION B: A1’s three-point try is short and below ring level when it
hits the shoulder of: (a) A2; or (b) B1 and rebounds to the backboard and through
the basket. RULING: The three-point try ended when it was obviously short and
below the ring. However, since a live ball went through the basket, two points are
scored in both (a) and (b). (5-1)

Think "airball" that then is tapped into basket.
