did i screw up??

I'm second guessing myself on this one- I think I messed up.

Fed- between foul shots for a technical foul- my partner beckons subs in. I was under the impression they had to wait until the last opportunity before the ball was to become live- i.e. before the last FT or in the case of a technical where play will be resumed by a throw in, after the last shot.

I think i kicked this one- please let me know either way.

thanks.

Let me ask you this...

Is a sub allowed to shoot one or both of the technical foul free throws?

No Kick

3-3-1c and EXCEPTION seem to show you were correct.
If a substitute enters to shoot either free throw, then you'd bring in the other substitutes at that time also.

ummm i'm not sure how thats relevant but 8-3 says they may be attempted by any player- a designated starter or eligible substitute.

in the my case they weren't substituting for the shooter.

My point is that it's an eligible time to sub.

I think that applies to free-throw personal fouls, not technical fouls.

I thought they could enter...but now I'm second guessing myself. I need to get to my books...

The point is they CAN enter because it's not multiple throws for a personal foul but rather the technical foul.

You got there eventually. The rule restricting subs entering during free throws only applies to personal foul free throws.
In a game, you really wouldn't want to restrict a coach from subbing for his player who just earned the T, either.
