Right, but for the rules that don't change, do they usually offer different situations?

If you would like them, send me a private message on the Forum, including your real email address, and I'll send them to you. I agree 100% with JRutledge. Remember that case plays and interpretation don't establish a rule, they just give examples or explain a rule. So, no matter how long ago a case/situation was published, they still remain valid, even if not in current publications, unless there has been a rule change or a new case play that changes the ruling. Everything about current rules that would be "needed" is in the current rules book alone...the case book and situations are merely supplemental.

Camron Rust: Have you checked this philosophy with JRutledge? He may beg to differ with you.

The Case book doesn't change from year to year, except to add new plays and remove those that are no longer correct by rule change. I have them back to the early 90's. THere's very little change, except for rule changes. Stick with the current book.
