Good officiating books/books by officials
I ordered "Calling the Shots: My Five Decades in the Nba" by Earl Storm off of Amazon after catching the title in a recent thread somewhere here. I was wondering if somebody else had any recommendations for other books of this kind of flavor....

Compared to Strom's book, everything else is just mouse milk. I bought "Calling The Shots" a few years ago and I still grab it off the shelf to read every so often. It's great and I would heartily recommend it to everyone associated with officiating, regardless of sport.
I'd also recommend "Unstoppable: The Story of George Mikan" by Mikan and Joseph Oberle. Although not about officiating, it gives a great insight into the game and yes, it's still relevant today.

Richie Powers has a book also. Some of their stories overlap. |
