Devil's Advocate

I did not see the play live; I have only seen replays of the play in question. I would also like to make full disclosure: I am a Kansas fan and not an Oklahoma fan but that does not have any bearing on my response below.

What did I see? I saw B1 (Oklahoma player) behind A1 (Morgan player) and facing A1's back when their arms became entangled and A1 attempted to untangle his arm from B1's arm. Yes it looked bad but A1 was had a more advantagous position that B1. At best this could have been incidental contact that looked bad or a common foul that looked bad by B1.

That has to be the funniest post of the year.

There is no chance that A1 doesn't get some sort of foul on this play. A1 most definitely was not trying to untangle his arms. He held onto B1's arms, bent over using his body as a lever and catapulted B1 over him onto the floor.

I would like to think that you just forgot to use the blue font, but something tells me you're serious.

You must have seen a different play. I agree with Camron. B1's arms are straight up. How do you get your arms tangled with an opponent wh's arms are straight up?

B1 bent his elbow, held onto A1's arm by doing so and body flipped him. Not only should he have been ejected, he should be suspended the first game next year, if he's not a senior.

This is CRAZY. If you had said that it was intentional but not necessarily flagrant, I could understand. I strongly disagree, but I could see a point being made. Cam and BBR are correct.

Take another look at it.

Mark, I respect your opinions, but when you say "At best this could have been incidental contact" are you saying at best for the Morgan State player? This was clearly a take down with the intent to do harm which was unacceptable in any sport (other than wrestling, judo, karate I suppose). Your'e right though, it COULD have been called a common foul, but most would agree FLAGRANT was definitely the best way to go.
