Interesting. Our bad weather - snow, ice, and then flooding when it all melted - seems to be over for now. I lost 4 games due to it all. My HS sons played Monday, and have games tonight, Friday, Saturday, next Monday, and Tuesday - all trying to get in the make-up games before the league season ends. Gonna be some tired kids in that last game!

Cold is not our issue anymore. It is to warm. I know, I know, lucky right. From -20 to 40+ in a day just makes for bad conditons. All Anchorage schools and Valley schools were closed yesterday and today I think. We will see if they cancell more games tonight. I was just feeling bad for the guys who were loosing games and thought, that never happens here. Now I feel bad for myself

gotta drive 3 hours for a JuCo game Saturday. Temp there will be high of 18 Friday and 24 Saturday but there is no precipitation in the forecast so I don't think I will encounter any problems.

Where I live the high will be 26 on Friday but dry so no cancellations expected.

It's been around 50 (above, not below) here in Portland for over a week and it's supposed to continue that way for a while. Not even any rain! Weird.

This week is exam week for first semester in the Toledo Public School Dist. (TPS) and when I took Andy to school this morning, the Weather Channel Desk Top temperature on the family computer here in lovely residential area of the western area of Toledo, Ohio read: -9F.

It is currently +10F as I write this.

I've had cancellations the last 2 nights due to the extreme cold temps. Hoping to get at it again tomorrow.

The boys reserve game went on as scheduled last night, but the freshman game before it ran long. Me suspects the fellow officials were wanting to stay in the confines of warmth instead of going to their cars in the cold.

AD's are in a Pinch

Four snowout cancellations in seven days here.
The AD's are starting to feel the pinch. Many are now having games in spite of school being called off that day.
My scheduled games for tonight are on though school was called off.
