Ah yes Chicago in winter time is lovely isn't it? Recall two Tuesdays in early Dec when there were consecutive snow storms I had back to back 3 hr commutes to games...probably another 3hr jaunt tonight to my game...

Global Warming

Here in our little corner of SW Michigan, we get our lake effect snow from the hot air emitting from the politicians in Chicago . Once it comes off the lake, we get dumped on. About 8 inches since this morning so far.
It just stopped snowing, but is expected to resume soon. No schools have cancelled evening events at this time. I hope our games are on. I'm getting tired of watching Law and Order reruns that I've seen before.

Boys varsity 3-person tonight. Looking forward to it. Don't have to drive too far (about 25 miles one way).

All is clear in the southern part of our state. There shouldn't be a problem getting my game in tonight.

Not sure where you IL guys are, but Lake Cook Road is my nemesis...everytime I see it I think of "A Christmas Story" and the old man battling the furnace...

I have Boys MS tonight - 7th and 8th grade with two coaches who chirp BIG TIME. One chirper loves to shout "And one!" everytime a player of his makes an attempt below the free throw line. I like the guy I'm working with, though, and I think we'll have fun.

I have a FB/JVB set tonight.

Great game last night! Down to the buzzer! Two forth quarter intentional fouls (some of the easiest calls I've ever made) and a T after a foul on a 3-point shot, for the ole yanking the shirt out of the pants (5 shots and the ball).

PS - Coach asked me, what did he say, "I said, coach, he yanked his shirt completely out of his pants - automatic T." Coach looked at the player and said, "That's the second time in two weeks." After the game, coach said, "Man, I had him do 25 laps last time." Wonder what he has in store this time.......

Yes, Grune, can you elaborate on this auto-T situation?
