In 1999, our local CYO, in its infinite scheduling wisdom, placed our JV team that was all 4th and 5th graders in a division with a team of all 6th graders. We lost the opener to this all 6th-grade team, 46-0. Oddly, the kids didn't seem bothered by the huge margin at all.

A few years later, I was at a JV girls game where the final score was 88-4. Winning coach was trying to do all she could to keep it from being embarassing -- no press after first quarter, packed-in 2-3zone after half time, and having the center as the point guard while the point guard played the post. We still scored at will.
