The runways, etc. are still there, but a couple of manufacturing business took over the larger buildings, base housing has been turned into condo units and apartments, the golf course is privately owned, The Rantoul Park District built a water park and pool on the grounds, and the fence is gone. But, other than that, it looks the same.

I'm doing a lot of work at Buckley AFB in Denver, and I've had a chance to visit the old Lowry area. They've done a remarkable job there of integrating the entire area into the community.
