You were at Chanute? You may not recognize the place now, as the base buildings have been integrated into the town. The runways, etc. are still there, but a couple of manufacturing business took over the larger buildings, base housing has been turned into condo units and apartments, the golf course is privately owned, The Rantoul Park District built a water park and pool on the grounds, and the fence is gone. But, other than that, it looks the same. 🙂
