I swear it's not April Fools !!!
I met a guy who owns his own gym and he pays us $50 to ref his son's games. Then he started inviting other teams to come play and we have ended up with a nice little league. If we do two games he pays $80 cash, and one game is $50 cash. Best deal around. It's the only 6th grade league I know of that has all college or HS varsity officials working it. If we ever have any parent problems, which we haven't so far, they would get kicked out since it is a private residence. You can't beat a deal like that ! |

I currently live in Mississippi. I'm ashamed to say how much (little) we make, but it seems to be about half as most of the country!

His son's team played in a local rec league. At first, they would just invite one of the other teams from the league to come play one game. We did that for a while. Then, other teams in the league said they would rather play games at his place instead of the rec league. So, we ended up with a six team league that played three nights per week. We've had two ten week sessions so far and the occasional one game night when other teams get invited that aren't in the six team league. It's fun! |

Ref Rates in Alaska
Here in Arctic Alaska we do as much 3-person reffing as possible for the varsity games. Ironically, when our small schools go to state they use 2-person.
We get about 5 weekends of home games with two varsity games each weekend, and three tournaments with 10+ games. Not much practice compared to you folks in the big leagues. 3-person varsity: $55/official 2-person varsity: $65/official 2-person JV: $40/official 2-person MS: $25/official Clock/book $25 each |

Long Island, NY Fees:
Only use the 2 man system Varsity: 110.33 JV: 89.12 JH: 75 All of these will go up 3-4 dollars a year based on our contract. We usually get about 12 varsity assignments a year, no lower level. If you are a lower level guy figure on about 15 assignments. There is no travel fee, and girls games are covered by a whole different association. Playoffs start at a 10% raise for the first round and work their way up to about 40% for the finals. |
