I'm in the camp that says I don't want smartazh, mouthy kids talking chit to me...
Something I like to say to the players is something like..."Hey, let your coach complain to me about the calls...you'll keep yourself and your team outta trouble...just focus on playing ball, ok?" |

You know I don't have a problem with how other handle these types of situation. The problem for ME personally is it's inconsistent across the officiating spectrum. That's the problem. In the OP it was stated that it was just loud enough for the two of them to hear no one else. IMO, it's unsporting and needs to be addressed appropriately.

My comment was regard to Kelvin's suggestion that we consider whether the kid is right or not. Sorry, that's not his job, it's mine. And I may listen to the coach if he has a concern but I'm not listening to a 17 y/o tell me I made a weak call.
