Official mistake on free throw
Saw a game where the official told everyone was 2 shots when was supposed to be a bonus. Person shooting missed and everyone stood when finally the shooter walked to the ball and put it in the basket. The official counted the 2 pts. His partner claimed innocent and the administrating official knew he made a mistake but would not change his mind. Understanding this is a bad mental mistake was this correctable or not. Could not find in any manuals. Thanks

Play should have been whistled dead immediately and play resumed with the AP.

If he told everyone two shots why did shooter know to pick up ball and shoot?
