NCAA question

In Appendix V of the NCAA rulebook, it states that, relative to an airborne shooter, the NFHS states "in air after release of try or tap." The NCAA states "Men-No rule."

On page BR-75 it says:
Quote:
Section 1. Airborne Shooter
Art. 1. An airborne shooter is in the act of shooting.

A.R. 67. A1 is in the air on a jump shot in the lane. A1 releases the ball on a try and is fouled by B1, who has jumped in an unsuccessful attempt to block the shot. A1’s try is: (a) successful; or (b) unsuccessful. RULING: A1 shall be an airborne shooter when the ball is released until he or she returns with one foot touching the floor. An airborne shooter shall be in the act of shooting. B1 has fouled A1 in the act of shooting. A1 shall be awarded one free throw in (a), and two in (b).

Art. 2. An airborne shooter is a player who has released the ball on a try for
goal until one foot has returned to the floor.
I'm having trouble understanding what the difference in NFHS and NCAA calls would be.

In NCAA, if a shooter fouls a defender after he releases the ball, it's no longer a player control foul. The shot would count and free throws would be shot by B if they were in the bonus.

In NFHS, this would be a player control foul and the shot would not count.

Appendix V is not accurate. The NCAA mens game does have an airborne shooter rule. The rule is just different. As Snaqwells wrote it doesn't pertain to PC fouls. That's all.
We've known about this for a few years now.
The NCAA should fix this.

In the ongoing quest to be nitpickingly accurate, that would true only in NCAA-Mens...NCAA-W is the same as NFHS.

I'm sure you meant no harm but I'm also sure *someone* will take offense to you calling Rocky a sissy.

Only in the two-syllable forms. Multisyllabic words are almost always okay, such as pusillanimous, Sysyphus, pansatorhemic, etc
