When someone says you need to "break in" a new pair of shoes, you seemed to take that literally.

Peace

10 games for adult rec league tourney. 20 min/halves - running clock. This was during my first year and only my second time at 3-man. Talk about baptism by fire.

Most I ever did was 9 in one day. Opening weekend of CYO season, all 8th & 9th grade "A" level teams on the main court at VCHS. Best part was the new assigner for CYO forgot to assign me a partner, so I worked them all solo. It was the worst of a number of assigning errors that season, and that was the last season I worked for CYO......

Nine solo in one day! You definitely win the "Earl Strom Ironman" award. BTW - is "VCHS" Valley Catholic? No particular reason for asking, just curious.

Our local association had an officials clinic to coincide with a Varsity Boys camp at a local university. Unfortunately several of the officials did not show up and we ended up doing 9 games with running 20 min halves. Clock only stopped in the last minute of each half.
BTW we actually paid for this privilage. We eventually were given credit for our dues paid for the year. But we were never given any instruction or evaluation as the staff had to work also.

Boys club ball tournament:

Friday 5 games, a split of 12U/14U.

Saturday 12 games, a split of 14U/17U.

Sunday 8 games, a split of all 3 ages, with all three championship games.

I've had a couple of those weekends. It's nice to walk out with a pocket full of money but I don't think I was any good after the Saturday morning games. There comes a point when your brain is fried.

I know. That happened to me in the 60s. Can't you tell?
