FIBA rules 2006:
41.2.2 If a personal foul is committed by a player of the team in control of the live ball, or of the team entitled to the ball, such a foul shall be penalised by a throw-in for the opponents. Given that team A had no possession, nor was it entitled to the ball, your decision was correct. As for the T... Let me put it this way: even if you had made a mistake it doesn't give the coach, or anyone else for that matter, the right to abuse you. So next time you feel abused, reach for the big T. Cheers
