I fully understand that FIBA currently has no loose ball rule, but I made a decision in a recent game at my local association (Australia) Basically this is what happened:
- Team A has possession of the ball
- Player A1 shoots
- Therefore, neither team has possession of the ball
- As A1 lands, she leans forward, causing a foul against B1.
- Team A is in the penalty (I.E. 9 team fouls for their half)
- I award Team B player B1 two bonus shots
Is this call correct - My ref's coordinator says it is, but I am unsure.
