Oh, yea?!?

Well, just wait 'till next year!

(Oh, wait, this season hasn't even started yet.)

Never mind.

This is for kids with cancer. Is there really anyone who's backing cancer in this fight?
Depends. Which kids?

Just a joke! Relax!

Gotta say I agree with Jeff. If MLB decides anyone can wear whatever pin they like it's only a matter of time before someone gets POed by a pin supporting lawyers, the French or even gawd forbid the metric system.

A lot easier to let no one wear them than it is to decide which pins are potentially troublesome.

Yup, things will be just fine after Prior and Woods come off the DL.

Next year.

What?!? Tiger's on the DL?!?

Well, if you meant Mark and Kerry, we don't need 'em anymore. Of course it's taken 5 years for them to figure that out.

Yeah...being from Houston, I can tell you why MLB is upset; It's not an officially licensed product. MLB doesn't get a cut of every pin sold.

Biggio needs someone to show him the path of righteousness and truth. Who's that kid from Huntington????

Oh, and I was in Vegas last week, and the Cubs were even money to win the Central. They should have had a line on when Pryor or Woods would go down.

The oddsmaker knew better... Woods just went down:

AP Sports Writer

MESA, Ariz. — Kerry Wood's chances of being ready for opening day were dashed by another injury. The Chicago Cubs' former ace hurt his right shoulder pitching in relief Sunday and was experiencing more stiffness than usual Monday, one week before the Cubs open the season in Cincinnati.

This seems similar to me to the NFL's stance on Jake Plummer's patch in memory of Pat Tillman. He was required to remove it, even though everyone agreed that Tillman was a fine man, a brave soldier, and had the conviction to give up millions of dollars to fight for something he believed in.

The problem isn't the message. It's just about the uniform. If everybody is allowed to show off their favorite charity, the uniform is no longer uniform.

I agree that it's pretty dumb that it took 15 years or whatever for them to figure that out, though.

OK, just for the hell of it, I'll cheer for the cancer. After all, in this "no one can be labelled a loser" mentality that society wants us to live in, someone needs to stand up and cheer for the bad guy. And besides, as the board's designated villain, I'm sure you all would expect no one but me to do so.
