Lookin' for new pants

I’m looking to get some new ref pants. Our local store only sells the flat front belt style. I realize that the fashion these days is the pleated belt-less type. Are there any recommendations out there on a good on-line outlet to purchase from? Also, is there a particular brand/model that most are going with?
Thanks.

I've had pretty good luck with Cliff Keen brand beltless, pleated front. I'd try the "search" function at the top of the page to look at some recent threads. Seems like this topic comes up about once a week. Lots of web sites to look at. Lots of opinions about pants too.

There are a number of online stores, you'll get them in just about a week in some cases. Cliff Keen, Honig, Smitty has a new line. I've bought Smitty pants this year just as good as anyone I mentioned above. Here are some websites:

Do your due diligence on what you need..

I've got the beltless unpleated version if you're interested. Honig's (seen here: http://www.honigs.com/detail.asp?Cat=2&Sub=23&Item=147), size 36, 3 pairs for $55.

Thanks for the replies. After viewing this thread as well as others, it appears that Honig and Cliff Keen have the strongest following. Of these two, does anyone have an opinion as to which might be a bit better than the other?

Whichever one ends up being cheaper.

Is it just me or am I the only one that's not a big fan of pleated pants for reffing?

Refnrev will agree with you, he's about the only one though.

That’s very surprising to me. It seems as though all of the officials in my area wear flat front pants.

I would think that the pleated versions would tend to bulge up.

Pretty much the opposite in my area, pleated is the correct way to go. I never figured out why heavy guys with guts always buy pants two sizes too small. It just emphasizes their gut.

It may emphasize their gut, but at least they stay up! (the pants, I mean) ...and our association voted (yes, voted) to go with pleated fronts as our standard uni.

AS I stated, Smitty, has a brand which cliff keen makes and Smiity brand names it. It cost $39 and with hemming $8. It's a bargain and they make the athletic cut which fits well. Cliff Keen charges for the same pants $45 to $48 and then hemming . IMO You can get them from http://www.pa.purchaseofficials.com/home.php?cat=75

Not true... I like pleats... I just don't like beltless. They never feel like they fit right. Didn't say I wouldn't be wearing them.... just don't like them.

Next pants I get will be Honigs. I'm really disgusted with the Sansabelt pants. Mine have wrinkled like hell and lost their crease after about 20 washings.
