Jacket Questions

I had a few questions about jackets:

1. What kind do you get?

2. What do you get sewn on it (i.e State logo etc.)

3. Where do you buy from.

I do just high school and JH ball. I live in central IL if that makes a difference!

Honigs sells jackets with the IHSA logo on the jacket.

Most website that sell official clothing sell them, but If you work for an association they will get you one to purchase from them. That is how my three association that I work for did.

It comes with the IHSA logo on it. I had my name placed and centered under the IHSA logo and my association logo on the right side of the jacket.

I also have the Honig's IK15 (http://www.honigs.com/detail.asp?Cat=2&Sub=66&Item=324) with just my name on the right side of the jacket.

Between The Lines (http://www.btlofficialsgear.com) also sells the jackets with the IHSA logo on their jackets.

1. Sahara jacket. Only Gerry Davis sells this jacket without the CCA logo on it.

2. The IHSA logo.

3. Gerry Davis Sports.

I do not like the jacket that Honigs sells. They used to sell the Sahara jacket plain, but they stopped for some reason. There plain jacket is too bulky in my opinion. It looks like you are bigger than you are in my opinion. Also I like better the Gerry Davis stitching compared to what Honigs offers on these jackets (logo stitching).

Just my opinion.

Between the Line has them with or without the IHSA Logo. They have two finishes flat and satin. I opted for the satin witht he IHSA logo and had a local monogram shop do my name.

Hmmm. Tell that to the several places that sell them with and without Texas (TASO) logos on them around here.

I've had 4 Sahara jackets. Two of them had the CCA logo (one blue and black), one was completely blank, and I've never bought anything from GD.

I bought my jacket last year through a local rep for Gerry Davis. He was selling the jacket as of November. I also know a couple of people that bought the jacket through GD during the season. It might be possible that they do not sell the jacket just plain. But they sell it with an IHSA logo. It cost a little more, but it is worth it.

I do not know if common is the right term. Some people put there name on their jackets, others do not. I had jackets earlier in my career that had my name on them. Now I have not put my name on a jacket in over 5 years. I will say other than one organization; it is not very common in the Chicago area to put your name on the jacket at all. This is just not something we do here in this part of the state.

Pretty common around here. I suppose it's fairly easy to say you're the odd duck out if you don't have it on there.
