Question

tjones1 started a thread about jackets. I need a new one but some that I've seen partners wearing have been pretty "chinchy-looking." What kind do you wear and where did you get them? Any insights as to if they are sized true, small, or large woudl also be appreciated. Thanks for the replies. RR

I am not quite sure of the name of the jackets my association wears, but they are very nice. As far as how they fit, that will depend upon which brand you get.

This is the jacket we wear for high school. It is just like the college jacket except it doesn't have the logo. Oh, I forgot where I'm at. I used to wear this jacket for high school. If you need a jacket with the IAABO logo on it then you have to get it from Officials choice. The jackets are basically the same, they just have different logos.

Between the Lines has a sharp looking satin finish one. I'm thinking seriously about that one. Any of you have one?

If I were you, I would get what the majority wear in your local area.

I do not like the satin jackets. This isn't disco fever

Hey, what about my black, Members Only jacket? That's a least a decade later...

tomegun has a great point - wear what your partners are wearing. Individuality is nice, but as refs we need to look like a team out there, just like the players.

This jacket that tomegun posted is offered with the IHSA logo on it (if you want it). I would agree try and match what's in the area. The majority of official's I see in my area wear this jacket (or the button-up) with the IHSA logo on it.

Edit: I just looked at Honig's, it looks like they aren't offering the button-up jacket anymore. Wrong...they still have them.

Can't you just sew on an IAABO patch?

That's what I did. Bought a CCA jacket and sewed on a patch.
