Sounds like she subscribes to the "I'm going to get the play right" philosophy instead of the "trusting my partners" philosophy.

Did you give her the "do you trust me" speech?

Z,
Rockyroad didn't have to beat her up for that call or patronize her. She fessed up and conceded. Why beat a dead horse?

So, Rockyroad,
..."Did you give her the "do you trust me" speech?" - borrowed from Z.

Nope...no speeches. just asked some questions and discussed the answers together...I really believe it was just a knee-jerk reaction on her part. We all learned from it as a crew.

What is reasoning for the men's side calling it two fouls rather than getting together and picking one?

Two fouls were called, and no official can overrule another. . .

Even if you establish a priority based on primaries as the Women's side has done, you could still end up with the wrong call. The mechanic does little to actually ensure the call is right since it automatically defaults to an official based on primaries. Some may believe that it's better to go with the double foul and penalize both rather than arbitrarily picking one based on who can convince the other that it was in their primary.

Also, there are locations that even the women's mechanics don't really deal with completely...boundaries between primaries or double coverage areas. The officials still have to make a decision.
