I'm sorry, but I'm not understanding your comment. The question (I think) was whether it was legal to take 2 or more steps while bobbling the ball and then putting it in the basket. I say, yes, it's legal.

It is a bobble - No possession and no Violation and no call.

It is pretty hard to sell a no call.

The explaination to the coach is simple
Bobble = no possession = no violation

why is sit. a legal -- he had possesion and goes up and loses possesion on his own?

You answered your own question. Once you lose control of the ball, you can't travel.

We've debated this before. There is a past thread on the forum in which BktBallRef and JR state that this is traveling and I believe Bob Jenkins provided an old interp stating that.

I'll see if I can find the thread.
