Sorry, thought I had first in there.
If you notify the coach first, before banging him, then yes, it is an indirect. Which raises and interesting possibility. Let's say the kid tells you to go get bent. You know you are going to wahck him, but you wait 2 extra seconds to tell the coach it is his 5th. Then wack, it is an indirect. Unethical, but within the rules?
