I wonder if they get the forfeit, could Tampa Bay get out of paying the tab?

If that's the case, maybe the Sox will pay the fine and gamble on the outcome of the game!

What are you talking about? This thread's only 5 months old. And it's actually a continuation of the thread entitled "Is it September Already?", which was posted on the first day of the '03 season. (It was, however, cruelly and unilaterally deleted for no good reason in the prime of its off-season! )

By the way, Sox get 3 runs in the first inning tonight, with the help of four walks from Tim Hudson. His season high for walks was four in a game, and he ties it in the first inning tonight. Wow.

If I knew what that meant, I'm sure I'd have a witty and/or informative reply. . .

Come on, Mark. Can we please try to cut out the silliness? If there's one thing I can't stand it's off-topic posts!!

And no, Mick, there didn't appear to be any FYC's in there. If anything, one of the 3-0 pitches was clearly high, but given the "courtesy" strike call.

If there were any FYC's today, I would've expected them to be in the Padres game, as David Wells was extremely vocal in his displeasure with the Plate Umpire's strike zone. But the Padres rolled, so if there were any, they didn't matter much.
