I can see LRZ's point, but climbing can be separated from lifting. One can climb a tree without the tree doing any lifting. A jack can lift a car without the car doing any climbing.

If a player folds his fingers together and gives a "boost" to his teammate, then he is charged with the technical foul for lifting. If a player climbs up onto the shoulders of a teammate, then the climber gets charged with the technical foul.

If they're both involved, charge the technical foul to the player that secured the greatest height.
