Lane Violation...Simultaneous?

Can't find my books at the moment...

Final FT in a sequence.

B1 enters the lane early, quickly followed by A2...but B1 was definitely first, and it looked like to me that B1's movement caused A2 to move in.

A1 missed the FT, and we gave him a substitute shot.

Did we get it right?

Yes, you did. The violation by A2 is ignored, since it followed the violation by B1 (see 9-1-4a).

Note: If the second violation was by the free thrower, or a teammate not in a marked lane space (outside the three point arc), the FT attempt is voided and you'd use the AP arrow to determine what team is given a throw-in from the closest spot of the violation (9-1-4b).

You always have to consider disconcertion. If the violation in the lane by B caused or contributed to the Ft er violation then you give another free throw.
