Another 3 Ball Walk NYM @ MIA
Those of you who access replay of ML games check out Aug 31 Mets game.
Top 5 th Baxter walks on ball 3. Evidently scoreboard had 3-2 count when it was actually 2-2. Baxter takes ball and sells the walk by immediately running to 1B. No one says a word. Can't any of the Marlin coaching staff count to 4. I wouldn't expect Ozzie to do it, but at least one of his coaches might have noticed it.

No video that I could find. The only Mets video oddity posted for 8/31/2012 was actually from a game back in June of 1999. Two cool things:
1. Mike Piazza is charged with a catcher's balk 2. After Bobby Valentine is run, he sneaks back into the dugout in disguise. I think this is way more entertaining than your play, Lee, especially the announcers trying to figure out the catcher's balk.

It looks to me as if the catcher ran up to the foul line to catch the pitch. The pitch never crossed the foul line. Therefore it's a no-pitch -- a balk. Had he jumped up to the plate to catch the pitch it would have been interference as well. I guess the same rule applies if it happens on a pitchout
