My feelings (b/c I know that you wanted to know)
I think that the red caps were a good idea and a great way to simply honor those serving in ways I never could. I think that 2 other ideas that might work would be to put the umps in full camo (talk about not knowing the umpire is there
 ), or have the umps where Navy and Red/White trim. I think the 2nd is a better option.
