In the old days, a moment of silence was observed while Taps was played to commemorate those who gave their all. In my opinion,
that was a much better way to pay honor then to wear "clown like" apparel, wrist bands and other "gobbly-gook" items. Maybe I'm just old fashioned being raised by WWII parents - I just don't buy into this "statement" stuff.
