You could try that as well (if the lettering seems to be "painted" on p/leather below and not a sewn on piece of fabric as on the NB) |

I just bought a pair yesterday. My Honig's shoes started to separate where the rubber bottom meets the leather top. I love the Honig's patent leather, but I have these less than a year. I had to have a pair for last night. I thought the Reebok felt and looked great. They are bit heavier than the Honigs.

What makes them more comfortable than the NB's?
Every pair of Reeboks I have ever tried have been way too narrow for me, while the 2E's or 4E's of the NB's are perfect. If they have made the shoes better great for them! But color me unconvinced at this point. |

adj. 1. Providing physical comfort. 2. Free from stress or anxiety; at ease. 3. Producing feelings of ease or security, 4. Sufficient to provide financial security. I'd say a lot more of number one and a little more of number three than the NB's. I stated earlier that they run narrow and one should order one width size larger than usual. What you are colored really doesn't concern me. Whether or not you ever wear Reebok plates shoes is insignificant. This thread was started by someone who enjoys his Reeboks. I entered the thread to relate my experience. I own no stock in the company and don't work for shoe retailer. I have no vested interest in what anyone choses to wear. |

Mr. Umpire,
Sorry I irritated you, take it easy big guy. Thanks for your four point speech and the dictonary definition, you did give me a complete answer ![]() If we are talking about comfortable plate shoes, the most comfortable ones I ever wore were the original Van's plate shoes that came out in the mid 1980's. I still wish they made them, the last guys to own the molds (Riddell) did not do a good job with them. |

I'm not irritated, annoyed or even bugged a little. Just saying that I'm not in this thread to argue, cajole or persuade. I simply stated why I mad the change from NB to Reebok. Everyone's mileage may vary, and it won't affect me in the least.

They'll slowly but surely get priced out of the market. I too, am down to my pants. (that doesn't read the best does it?)

Same thing with their protective gear. Their single bar mask, K1, and the K30 shin guards are now more expensive than their Wilson counterparts, especially if you are willing to shop around on the Wilson stuff. I bought a Dyna-Lite from CAT Sports for $59 and Honig's single bar mask is $75. The Wilson Titanium mask is $259 there and $229 at GD - the next highest price. WTF?

Unfortunately, Reebok has canceled plans to manufacture these shoes in extra wide or extra, extra wide (2E or 4E). They have stated that the "D" width is the widest in which they will offer these.

Really? Mine are double E.
