Reebok Plate Shoe?

I thought I read something here a while back that Reebok was going to make the plate shoe available to the public. Is this true? If so, who is going to carry it? And, what is the price range?

I learned the plastic toe SpotBilt lesson myself a few weeks back. I was thinking NB's, but may have to give the Reeboks a try!

I was under the impression that the Reeboks were going to be made with a "hard toe" backing like the Spot-Bilts, not the steel toe found in the NB 450s.

I have heard/read that the Reeboks are garbage (I have not personally tried them)...I have the New Balance and love them. In fact, on the Rob Drake board (now closed) the overwhelming consensus was that that model was not very popular. Spend your money on the New Balance, they're proven to be a quality shoe. Why take a chance on something like that?

I'm sorry if I offended you by dispelling the rumor that Reebok plate shows do not have steel toes. I assumed some would like the correct information. I happened to see Reilly's earlier this year.

What difference does it make who owns them? And if it makes no difference, why bother dropping the name?

I recall reading somewhere that the models given to the MLB guys were steel toe but the ones produced by Reebok for the public would be hard toe. Just what I remember.

The samples the MLB guys received are steel toe. Mine are steel toe as well. The new ones will have a plastic toe. Reebok owns CCM and they have been using plastic in their hockey skates for years. I dont forsee a problem. As far as comfort.... equal to NB...but I like the low-top feel of the Reebok.
