The softball board is where you should really post this but -
The size of the ball is not of consequence. It's the form of pitching, Fast Pitch, Modified or Slow Pitch that dictates the pitching regulations. For slow pitch (ASA) the pitcher is required to keep a foot in contact with the pitcher's plate. There is no requirement for which foot contacts the pitcher's plate or in which direction the pitcher may step.
