The Middle of the End
The Beginning of the End:
Trolls forcing excellent posters off the forum. The Middle of the End: The forum has more and more little-boy ball questions. The End of the End: Stay tuned.

I wouldn't think so. LL has a certain amount of specific rules such as pitch counts, runners leaving too early for ages 12U and what not but the rules are still based upon the official baseball rules.

Take heart Mbyron & others. I reported one of the nastiest of trolls to the moderator today and he took care of business. If we report the problem children, Mick looks into the issue and deals fairly.
And yes, I agree with separating Small Ball to another forum. I have been saying that for years only to be jumped on for being a bigot, veteran. Mbyron is 100% correct in that Small Ball discussions attract "little boy umpires". We have seen them come and go over the years. What makes me really laugh is when we direct them to eteamz because that is defiantly a Small Ball site with good people on it, we are accosted for being rotten, unfeeling, jerks. Sorry, I'll take my meds now. All will be well in a few minutes.

I don't know.....
You gotta learn somewhere and if this resource is "open" is it destructive discussing the elements of umpiring? You may not go away but the big boy attitude will turn others away. Is that what is desired? If so then state it.
I've seen poor umpiring at every level. It seems that the folks on here at least care to know the difference between right and wrong. That being said, the best constructive critism came after just walking off the field. |

Doesn't it make sense that the level that most umpires start in will have the most questions? Some folks just stumble into this site, ask a general question, and get pummeled. Don't like the question, don't answer it. But some of you guys are so territorial about this site, that you have to leave your "mark" on any poster you don't deem worthy.
Let me tell you something, at one point in your "careers" you were all not worthy. |
