Reinstated force?
this play actually happened in an independent league game last weekend.
Runners on 1st and 3rd, 2 outs. Line drive hit hard down 3rd base line, 3rd baseman dives for the ball that is fair, ball bounces off his glove and dribbles into foul territory, his momentum carries him with the ball. Runner on third scores, runner on 1st advances to and touches 2nd, thinking the ball was caught the runner that was on first starts back to 1st thinking that this is only the 2nd out. The defense seeing the runner off the base tag him for the third out.... The discussion between the 3 man crew was whether the run scored or not?
