Congrats to REI, and to all the other officials who worked any level of post-season play.

That's the "external" recognition for what you've done. Equally important ins the "internal" recognition -- if you are a better umpire this year than you were last year, then yuo deserve credit and recognition for making yourself better.

On my last visit to PDX, I saw some PBUA umpires work and had some beers with a big group of them after their first round playoff games. A great organization and great bunch of guys (and umpires). I also watched Tim C put in a stellar plate performance in a game that would never end.

I'm only 47% plates this season, but I worked a bunch of 3-man games. Hard to be much over 50% when you work mostly doubleheaders.

That's the other thread. Bob also worked an NCAA D-III conference tourney this season.

Indeed, the NAC. I was hoping he would've worked the CCIW Tourney with me. Maybe HE could've had the padded room game then, and not me.
