but I will.

Unless you are an Illinois umpire you likely have no idea how our playoff system works. Usually to get through the ranks you have to slowly work your way up in the playoffs and it takes many guys 20 years to accomplish in many cases. A certain fellow umpire is working the Class AA State Finals (Big schools for those not in the state) on June 8 and 10 in Joliet, Illinois.

This is our very own Bob Jenkins.

Congrats to Bob and all the hard work it takes to get to that point. I am sure you will have a fun time.

Congratulations, Bob.

Kind of gives me faith in the quality of the postseason assignment process.

Also, since he didn't mention it, for those of you who didn't know, JRutledge received post season assignments for the Class A AND Class AA Regionals, as well as the Class AA Sectionals here in Illinois.
