He didn't say he wouldn't enforce it - he just said it's a stupid rule.

Heck, FED bans any white at all on a pitcher's glove - even in the logo.

While I agree the rule is stupid, I still carry a black sharpie to quickly remedy the white logo conundrum.

I just have the pitcher rub a little dirt on the logo. In my judgment, it doesn't look white to me after that.

Bottom of 7th, tie game, 2 outs, R1, batter lays down a bunt fielded by F1 who throws to 1B for the out. Offensive coach comes out to complain about illegal glove. Too late to tell pitcher to rub dirt on it, it is what it is.

Coach, we have all been waiting to see which coach would be the first to use this dumb rule to his advantage. And it is obvious that you laid down this bunt in this situation to exploit the rule and your opponent. If you persist with your complaint you will win this game because I will award 3 bases to the batter and runner on 1b will be the winning run. You will be a legend among your peers and my fellow umpires and you can rest assured that my fellow umpires will call your games 100% to the letter of all the rules.
