I think it's just wonderful that we keep this extremely interesting thread going, while getting rid of those really boring ones, like the one's that keep getting closed or deleted. Heaven knows we need more equipment threads.

One time that I recall. I have worked exactly one game since without a cup and was as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

Mask, chest protector, cup, shin guards, plate shoes, in that order of importance.

ok when i first started working behind the plate i did not wear plate shoes and did fine for four years and the first game of my 5th year and on the first pitch got hit on my left big toe and broke it . heart like hell but i did not dare btell anyone until two days later.bad think.....
