Did you read my last reply when I gave the fair/foul example? Angel Hernandez the RF umpire you were referring to as a (I quote) "nothing but a waste of space and money." Did you see how the umpire made the call? And he STILL got it wrong and the umpire 300ft away got it right. I think that was the whole point of the post. If they are going to be in a position where they cannot make the call even when they do everything right, then maybe they need to re-think where they position the umpires. Personally, I don't believe that you need three umpires down the line to make fair/foul calls. Use six, but put them in better postions to help out on more calls.
