Can you confirm this : each player gets a certain position on the field and diamond for the defensive part but when on offensive team, everyone get to be hitter at some point ?

If you mean does everyone there get to bat even if they are not in the field, it depends on the rules.

Basic rules: No, only the 9 in the field bat.

Some rules allow an extra hitter which means 10 bat.

Some riules allow everyone to bat.

You need to know what rules are in effect.

It depends on what rules the game is being played under. There is a player called the "designated hitter" [DH], who bats but does not play the field. In the professional American League, he bats for the pitcher; the National League does not use the DH. In some lower leagues, school and summer ball, the DH can bat for any one of the field-position players, typically because or when the pitcher that day is one of the better ball payers on the team.

Then, there are kids leagues that have an "extra hitter" or where everyone bats, even if not playing the field.
