Dead ball/plugged ball?
Looked for ruling during meeting tonight.
We play in some inclement weather here in PA, and the question came up if a plugged ball is treated the same as 8-3-3c,f ? 8-1-2b? Thanks in advance!

Re: unfit field.
I don't know what part pf PA thumperee is from, but around the suburbs outside of Philadelphia, it is not at all unusual to play on fields with swampy areas in the outfield, even in the summer, after heavy downpours. If we got too particular, we'd rarely play ball. |

I agree that the field is unfit for play. Simply put, if it's raining long enough that the ground is so soft that a ball plugs, then cleats no longer can provide traction. For safety's sake, the game should be halted.

Unfit field came up, so did golfing, but if deemed unfit, we should cancel the season now. As LRZ mentioned. Unfortunately our games aren't played on turf. Sometime there are areas of mud or "soft ground". CT1 Just couldn't see awarding BR, R1 and R2 two bases on a blooper over 2nd.
8-3-3c Could we get away with 8-3-3d ?
