Worst FED Rule Change in recent memory.

I was working with a very delightful older lady the other day, and we got into a discussion of the worst FED rules change in recent memory. As I was thinking about my answer, she suggested the allowing the let serve was the worst rule change.

I still think you should be able to attack serves, but there were about three others I did not really like.

So I ask you, what is your least favorite FED rules change in a while?

Well if I had to pick one, it would be allowing multiple contacts on the first hit....

1. The messed up way they've interpreted almost everything involving the libero.

2. Lineup being in serving order, instead of the grid.

Allowing officials to wear shorts!

This is an "inside" game played on a gym floor. No other indoor sports that come to mind allow the officials to wear shorts...and it looks tacky and unprofessional. Basketball Officials do much more in much more sweaty conditions and they still wear pants. What's next? Spandex?

Hmmm, I've always thought pants for basketball was a stupid idea.

Amen to the new lineup sheet as being a step back.

Ok I will take the bait...I know it is an opinion not bait but...I like the new lineup order....makes it much simplier, maybe you have more experienced coaches in your area, but I seemed to have people that couldn't figure out who to circle when and had one circle marked out and another....very confusing....and the table help was clueless now all there is to do it write it down, match 1-6 in your book and that better be how they serve....now the only one who has to know which one rotates back one place is the officials and my money is on us getting it right over the book keeper almost 100% of the time.

I agree with the multiple hits on first contact, seems to have started allowing ugly ball handling IMO.....

Dave, the problem I have with the new line-up sheet is that I am spatially oriented from having done volleyball for 24 years. As a result, I like being able to look at the grid and knowing where players are supposed to be. In the new line-up sheet, they are in a single row, so I have to work really hard to be sure that I know where players are during the game.
