Illegal attack contacts antenna
Today I was the R2 for a play in which the back row setter contacted the ball while in the front zone and while the ball was above the height of the net. The set was off-target and entered the plane of the net. Before it crossed the plane and without being touched by anyone else, the ball contacted my antenna.
I blew my whistle and signaled out, but my R1 signaled an illegal attack. Who was right?

It's not an illegal attack until the ball completely crosses the net or the defense legally touches the ball. So, the first fault was the antenna.
