Illegal attack contacts antenna
Today I was the R2 for a play in which the back row setter contacted the ball while in the front zone and while the ball was above the height of the net. The set was off-target and entered the plane of the net. Before it crossed the plane and without being touched by anyone else, the ball contacted my antenna.
I blew my whistle and signaled out, but my R1 signaled an illegal attack. Who was right? |

It's not an illegal attack until the ball completely crosses the net or the defense legally touches the ball. So, the first fault was the antenna. |
